2010 LAPD Essay Contest
Attached is the information for the 2010 Essay contest open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders of the Los Archdiocese schools. This year's topic question is "As a Los Angeles Poice Department officer, what important safety tips would you give middle school students about the risk of using the internet, personal websites, instant messaging social and video networking, online gaming or mobile internet devices. The contest has officially begun and the entry deadline will be Friday, March 26, 2010.

The International Institute Of Theological And Tribunal Studies And The Angelicum Welcome Sister Sharon Holland, I.H.M.
Sister Sharon Holland, I.H.M., an internationally known speaker on matters of canon law and consecrated life, has accepted an invitation from the International Institute of Theological and Tribunal Studies to teach during its 2010 Summer Semester of Canon Law in Los Angeles in collaboration with the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome(the Angelicum).

As millions across the nation begin receiving their census forms, a taped message from Cardinal Mahony will begin airing this week on El Sembrador TV & Radio and Guadalupe Radio calling on the Latinos to “be counted” in the 2010 Census.
